Kids and Camping

The month of June is quickly passing and Ron and I are enjoying the little voices of Emma and Jacob around the house. They have amused us with their questions and answers.  They have made us smile as they have played with each other and they have gotten deeper into our hearts with their frequent hugs, kisses and "I love you's"

We have had lots of little adventures.
And even had a few encounters with the law.

Fortunately for us we were released on good behaviour and promised the nice policeman that we would feed him supper.

We just returned from a few days of camping and enjoyed the beach, canoeing and great campfires.

Now it's time to get serious.  Only 3 more days to sleep in our house in Deschambault Lake and then our house will be packed and loaded and we will be headed to Alberta.  Only one more week and Emma and Jacob will head back to Ontario and Sarah will arrive to take their place.  So until then I better get them to work.  There's some cleaning to do before we leave this house.

And you are not having a nap until that is spotless!  If I had of know that grandchildren were going to be this much fun we might have had them first.

He's Still Got It

Looking back over my blog I realized I forgot to mention the main reason we went to Ontario.  Ron had been asked to put his Pastor cap back on and perform a wedding.  The bride was a beautiful young lady that we had known from birth.  Ron had the privilege of both dedicating her and later baptizing her and now marrying her.  Her handsome groom is currently going through training to be a guard.

When Ron first became a police officer he felt like a pastor playing dress up....now it was reversed.  It didn't take him long to get back into the swing of things.  The wedding was beautiful.  The bride was gorgeous and the groom was beaming.  Ron did a great job.

The exciting part is that this newly married couple will be living very close to us when we move.  Actually they will be living with us until they find a place of their own.

On Sunday we headed to church and Ron was asked to sing a few songs to the delight of Sarah.
Yup, he's still got it.  PR can stand for policeman Ron or pastor Ron depending on the day, the clothes and what he is asked or required to do.

The Count Down

Moving is always exciting but there are so many things to think about before.  I've been busy on the phone cancelling our services here and setting up hook up dates for our new home.  A few more things and we should be set up.

Next week we are taking these two camping for a few days.
And then we will have a pack and load day and then we will be on the road...Alberta bound.  We will meet Jenn at the airport were we will exchange Emma and Jacob for the newest kindergarten graduate.

July will be a time to unpack, enjoy Sarah's company, have visits from Stephen and explore some new areas.  August will come and I will be back to work...looking forward to a little more normal life. A busy summer is ahead and the count down is on!
